Edivos is a primarily a video listing WP theme. It also has the blog feature. This is a feature rich theme with features like custom menu, custom post type, taxonomies, theme options , jQuery slider etc
This theme supports video listing from from 6 different video sharing websites. The theme is built with metaboxes to make it easy fro your to create the video listings. To create a video listing follow the steps.
  1. Go to video menu on admin panel and click”Add new“
  2. Give the video a title and enter the video description in the post editor.
  3. Add the image you want to use for the video thumbnail as the featured image.
  4. Create or select a genre for your video.
  5. Scroll down to video details metabox and select the site name from which you want to embed the video.
  6. In the next field called “Video id” enter the ID of the video as it is given in the website.

How to find Video IDs from the url of these video sharing sites?I have included the sample video urls from these sites and highlighted the ID in RED.

The theme also  has custom page  template for creating a blog page when your homepage is used for video listing.  For this just create a new blank page give it a title and select “blog” template under the page attributes. This page will then act as your blog page.

Celesta is a free WordPress theme to create your own song lyrics site. This is a WordPress 3+ ready theme with features like custom menu, featured images,custom post type, custom taxonomy, widgetized sidebar etc. Theme also comes with an option panel.

This theme built to create a song lyrics website based on WordPress. Them theme uses features like custom post types, taxonomies etc to provide extra functions

Creating a Lyric post:

Creating lyric post is similar to creating regular posts. In the WordPress admin panel you will find the menu tab for lyrics. Click Add New lyric and enter the lyrics title and the lyric content.
You can attach each lyric a featured image and add to relevant taxonomies like Albums, Artists, Genre.

Custom homepage:

The theme has a custom homepage template. There is a jquery content carousal avalable on the homepage template. Songs added to the Featured Genre will be shown on the slider. You can set the number of lyrics to feature on the slider from the options panel.

To enable the custom homepage follow the steps below.

  • Create a new page and give a title Home. Leave the content blank. On the right side in the page attributes you will find the Template select box . Select the Homepage template and publish the page.
  • Create a new page and give it a title Blog and publish it.
  • Go to the settings tab and click on the reading menu. In the reading settings Select the static page option for the front page display.
  • Select Home page for Front page and Blog for posts page.
